A popular holiday destination in the northern Black Forest

Hiking, cycling, climbing and golfing? Or would you rather relax with wellness and a massage? All of these leisure activities are possible in Bad Herrenalb. A wide-ranging cultural programme, diverse wellness options and sporting activities are available and invite you to enjoy yourself away from the conference programme.

Swimming

Siebentäler Spa (Therme)
The spa in Bad Herrenalb offers a special kind of wellness experience. The bathing area features bubbling pools, floor-level water jets, massage jets, neck showers and counter-current systems. Water aerobics, aqua healing and a solarium are also available.

Bad Herrenalb Forest Outdoor Pool (Waldfreibad)
The first outdoor swimming pool to be built in this part of the Black Forest is probably still the most beautiful. Enjoy swimming in natural spring water surrounded by beautiful greenery, with a 45-metre super slide, 1- and 3-metre diving boards, a massage mushroom and a large sunbathing lawn. There are also separate pools for swimmers and non-swimmers. The grounds also feature a boules court, beach volleyball court, volleyball court, table tennis table and swings.

Climbing

The impressive Falkenstein cliffs in Bad Herrenalb are a particularly exciting climbing area for all climbing enthusiasts and offer pure thrills and adrenaline.

A rock with a railway connection
It takes less than five minutes to walk from the Kullenmühle stop to the Lower Group. The Upper Group is farther away, but offers beautiful views of the town and its surroundings.

The Lower Group has 21 routes. Almost all of them are well secured. In some places, nuts or Friends may be helpful. This applies even more to the Upper Group. Its 25 routes are less well secured in some places. Throughout the entire area, holds and footholds should be checked for stability.

The Upper Group is a natural monument. Both rock groups are part of a Natura 2000 site. In the Upper Group, climbing on the Falkenturm and Rambowandl is only permitted from 1 July to 31 December each year. Climbing out onto the summit is not permitted. A change to the climbing regulations is currently being sought. Please observe the latest information.

Golf

Sporty, challenging and varied are the golf courses at Golfclub Bad Herrenalb-Bernbach. Each hole has its own highlight and has therefore been given its own name.

Find out for yourself what the “Terrassenschreck” is all about or why hole 4 is called “Waldwinkel”. What is special about the “Achterbahn”, and where is “Das Blinde Loch”?
